"Fine, fine, just...give me a second." As she's bent over, she notices an odd piece of metal on the ground. It's curved, and it could have been from a boat at one time, but it's no metal that Pidge recognizes and it looks like it's been rotting here forever.
"It looks...ancient. But not ancient ancient, ancient from the future." She fishes the metal out of the sand, getting lost in her speculation. "I mean if we were from the future, this place would be ancient. Everything kind of looks dead here, but there's no way to be sure there's no life..."
