The cold-blooded assassin wasn't the only one having to fight the emotions. Unlike her, there was plenty of places for the heat of anger to grasp in Genji. However, he was used to always being angry and he was also used to expelling that same anger with the training he had among the Shambali. It would be a fight in his mind, one that could be distracting, but the ninja wasn't going to let himself succumb.

He followed the instructions just fine however, stepping forward but hardly taking cover. The ninja was a direct counter to foes who relied on ranged combat. Genji, however, wasn't sure what type of power the gun had but he was certain it wasn't a physical object....most likely it was energy based.

So with his two fingers from his left hand held in front of where his mouth is, he molded his thoughts into things far more productive; squelching his anger and focusing on his own inner abilities. His right hand reached behind his back and grabbed the hilt of the katana there, pulling the trigger and drawing the katana with a flourish. With it came a green dragon spirit, swirling and roaring with the blade before merging with it along with Genji's shout of "The dragon becomes me!"

Cover now was pointless. He sprinted directly at Nol, effortlessly parkouring over obstacles and cover in the way. Precognition aside, it was obvious his goal was to bat aside the projectiles with his blade and draw his designated foe into melee combat before she could turn her gun around on innocents.
