Joey gave her a reassuring smile. He wasn't exactly looking forward to the level of sharing required by the rituals, but he was willing to do what was necessary. There was a lot that he regretted, but Joe wasn't ashamed of the worst parts. Shame would imply that he had any measure of control over his actions, at that point, but mental illness - mental corruption - wasn't something to be ashamed of. And he was better now. He could face it.
