Kyle doesn't really have any complaints. This is partly because he's a huge nerd, so he gets it. He may or may not have shouted out his own attacks at some point, too, even if it was just for fun. But he also doesn't complain because he doesn't quite expect Goku to just disappear like he does, leaving him to deal with the convenient rock formation all by himself. Fortunately, he's a quick thinker, so he thinks up a shield—much larger than what a normal human knight might typically wield, but large enough to protect him from the rocks.

...maybe not strong enough to deflect it. But anything's better than a direct hit, right?
