Rico's used to having floors blown out from under him, but it just disappearing under his feet? He has half a second to look shocked before he starts plummeting into the darkness below, stifling the remembered panic in his gut.

He manages to land in a cat's crouch, sending a muted jarring impact up his ankles. He switches on his helm's infrared vision and yells upward, regardless of whether he can hear him or not, determined to get the last word.

"She was already converted when I looked! She'll get back up eventually to attack others soon enough. Isn't that what you wanted?"

Disgusted, Rico shakes his head and starts looking for some stairs. Time to leave this place and go someplace else. He just can't work like this.
