Zenyatta inclines his head upwards a few degrees upon Rico patting it. It's not unwelcomed, but it is unexpected in two ways: one, Rico giving such a comforting gesture to someone, and two, Zenyatta receiving such a gesture. Zenyatta is rarely on the receiving end of being comforted. (And he needs it more than he realizes.)

But then the laboratory lights extinguish to leave only the blue-purple glow of Zenyatta's array mixed with the emergency lights leading to the exits. Even the glow of the cloning tanks seemed to have dimmed.

Zenyatta is about to voice in protest of leaving the others in their slumber, but he halts the attempt a millisecond later. No, he will follow the Ricos' plan. With one final look at Reggatta's still form cast in blue-purple, Zenyatta takes a deep breath. His orbs respond, pulling tight around his neck. Reggatta slips off his lap and to the floor.

"I understand. Let us depart." He hovers higher into the air, putting his focus in the now and the task at hand. "We will see you soon."

He quiets the voice in his soul that murmurs that this is likely the last time they speak like this.
