It works spectacularly. For all she tries to be the picture of destructive serenity, the rage and hatred that the Penitent carries inside her is a force to be reckoned with.

That's not to say that it has some deep cause or motive. She doesn't hate humanity for any particular reason, she just enjoys watching them die, and it's really frustrating when they don't do what she want. Her anger is like a child's tantrum over not getting a toy they want.

You know, if said child wanted to destroy all sentient life.

She lets out another scream and even though her body is broken, she starts scuttling across the floor extremely quickly, limbs bent into unnatural shapes, trailing blood from compound fractures.

She starts chasing after Rico exactly as planned.
