The muttering is noted, and Zenyatta has to wonder if how many times Wash has hallucinated to know "That's what they all say." Is it more than what they've seen from the unmolded ones they faced before? Zenyatta files that away to discuss another time and place.

Given that Wash has just hurt himself, Zenyatta will not comply with his command to get out of his head. He continues sensing the hurt and confusion in Wash's spirit, but buried in that is hope. Hope is what Zenyatta hopes to strengthen.

"If I was a part of your mind, then I represent some part of you who wants the life I speak of. You want to protect others and the companionship in the Legion over being trapped in this cell."

He taps a finger to his chin. "However, I would like you to think of it this way. The worst that could happen is a return to your current situation. You do not lose anything but the possibility that the opposite could be true. It could be cathartic and allow you to start moving on. The reverse has many more gains. Let yourself be true to what you want."

He pauses to let that sink in before adding one more detail he hopes will nudge him further out of this dimension.

"And if you do not free yourself from this cell, who will feed your cat?"
