Stardust sensed it, the alluring call of life energy. Having destroyed and absorbed her own people to feed to her master, she wasn't above taking the gift of life from someone else and giving it to the being she loved above all else.

Still, it was but a morsel, and despite their efforts at an ambush, the sensory detail the power cosmic gave her meant that getting the drop on her wasn't easy.
