Hal raised his glass in return. He hadn't exchanged all that many words with Alexander, so far - not deliberately, more a case of their paths not crossing much - but from the impression he'd gotten, the man reminded him of some of his comrades back home in the Corps. Exactly the kind of serious dedication that was great to have at your back in a fight, but not so much on the social skills.
