Superboy Prime's path of asskicking was an easy one to follow, punctuated as it was by an equal amount of complaining. And the amount of trouble he was causing was enough to keep Sam's attention once he had it. It was just common sense - take out the biggest threat first, before he could cause too much damage, right?

So when he managed to disentangle himself from the fight du jour, Sam took off at top speed, boosting his flight ring's acceleration with a blast of the Nova Force, aiming to plow straight into Superboy.
