Dipper checked and the ring chirped:

[POWER LEVELS 63%.]

He'd burned through quite a bit of his power. Having the kind of concentration where he could run multiple, fairly complex constructs at once was an advantage in some ways, but he was burning through ring energy faster than some of the others.

"I'm fine! If I drop below 30% before the fight's over, I'll pull back and stargate back to base where it's safe to recharge."

He didn't want to leave yet. Not when he had the enemy on the run. He'd always felt a little delight over it before, whenever he and Mabel had a sound victory over their enemies, especially the really bad, dangerous ones, but this was different. The yellows and reds were so horrible. Watching them run or get swallowed up by one of the monsters he'd made (where they were safely kept imprisoned to be handed to the Science Police later, not that they knew it) made his adrenaline surge. It was a heady feeling, having someone else under his power for once.

Now, instead of being afraid of the monsters trying to get him and his sister, they were the ones afraid -- and of things he'd faced and survived himself. While powerless.

His giant prison-gremloblin swallowed another yellow Lantern and it made a honking sound of terror that was so comical that Dipper actually laughed. In the middle of a fight with yellow Lanterns trying to murder him, the boy making monsters that were a match to themselves laughed, and the yellows heard it. They started to cower even more, hanging back away from him, hissing warnings to each other to not get too close.

"They think they're actually getting eaten," he hissed to Hal as the gremloblin ate another, keeping his voice quiet. "I just have them imprisoned in there but they don't know that."

And their intimidation because of it was something he was clearly getting a kick out of. A very, very unhealthy kick out of.
