wieldtherainbow: ([yellow] Romat-Ru)

Romat-Ru was very good at what he did. He was one of the faster yellow Lanterns among Sinestro's Corps and also one of the cleverest ones, with the most finesse. While both boys were winded and disoriented, two more tendrils of yellow light whipped out and wrenched their rings off their fingers. Luckily they had their transuits to protect them from vacuum, but he took care of that next.

While he slammed Sam against a particular bit of mining equipment, he used his ring to patch up the hull, causing the section they were in to fill up with air again.

"No good, no good," he said of the hull. "You need to breathe. Screams over a commlink just won't do. Sooo much better ringing through the air, yes."

He turned to Sam. "Don't try using your powers, boy. That's a Vessic power collector. Must be ancient to these people, yes. It will just drain your power away."

He turned to Dipper, who had finally gotten to his feet and was glowing with blue telekinetic energy.

"And you -- if you use your power, I kill him." The tendrils tightened around Sam. "Crush him like a Chuuvu fruit. Do you want to see his insides? No? Then power down. No rescuing him. No fighting me. No escape for you. No calling for help -- don't think I don't know you're trying. Crackling on the commlines, but the equipment is giving off interference. I chose this place for a reason. I chose you for a reason."

As Dipper's face fell, the corners of his eyes crinkled in delight.

"There it is. The fear. The helplessness. That's why it's always better with two. One to threaten, one to kill. One to die, one to watch-- before their own turn, at least. It's so beautiful. So beautiful seeing that fear on your little tiny faces -- the younger the better, but you're a young one, aren't you. So young for a Green Lantern. Come closer."
