"Do it and he dies, little one," the yellow said. "I am a reasonable man. How about I make an offer to you? If you don't fight me, if you die prettily, I'll let him go free. Yes, that will make this more interesting."
Romat-ru tilted his head at Dipper.
"I could never do such a thing with the children I killed before -- if I released one of my little witnesses the authorities would've found found me sooner, certainly. But I can do that now. And you don't know, do you. You can't know for sure if I'm telling the truth or not. Because this is my game and two dead children, or one dead and the other alive and broken from what he's seen, might please me equally. That's your hope. That one death is enough -- and like all fools that give into weakness, you'd prefer that death was yours."
When Dipper stayed frozen in place, making it clear he was still hesitating on fighting back, still frozen by his fear and uncertainty, Romat-ru suddenly used his ring to bind his hands to nearby railing. Constructs of different...tools started floating in the air, replicated from back before he had his ring.
"Remember, it must be pretty. You must die pretty. Pretty sights, pretty little noises. That's the only way I'll spare your little friend. You have to hurt enough to make up for him going free. You have to hurt enough that it hurts him just to watch you."
With that, he picked a sparking yellow tool that was the construct equivalent of a soldering torch.
