There was something wrong with Payback. Tadashi didn't know her all that well, but he'd seen her around, eeling in and out of ventilation shafts and flying fearlessly around the corridors. If she was having that much difficulty using her ring, something was really wrong.

"Hey!" he shouted, peeling off from the main group and chasing after the Yellow Lantern stalking his teammate. "Why don't you -- WHOA!"

The Yellow Lantern had turned on him when he'd shouted, unleashing something horrible and toothy at him instead of at Payback. Tadashi whacks it hard with the staff that came with his ring, almost on reflex alone.

At least someone might notice now, instead of discovering later that Payback had died alone.
