Jason pushed the branches of the taffy tree aside and paused. He hadn't been walking long but he was almost starting to think he wasn't going to run into anyone -- foe, monster or otherwise. He frowned at the sticky taffy now on his hand and wiped it on his pants. "No, I'm not here to fight," he says, then considers the situation and adds, "At least, not if I can help it."
Being still new to the Legion, he wasn't entirely familiar with everyone yet -- by name, face, or otherwise. Sure, he'd met a few people, but the Legion was pretty sizable. He'd tried to get an idea of some of his fellow heroes before volunteering for this mission, but things had escalated a little too quickly. Also, was this still considered in the field? Should he use his code name or not? They were being recorded but apparently it was only on a closed broadcast. "I'm Jason," he decides to just use his first name.
He notices she holds some candy in her hand and asked, "So is the candy supposed to kill us? Because so far I haven't seen the 'murder' in 'murder world' yet."
