76 gives chase until Reaper finds a more advantageous position and re-materalizes, leading him to believe that he’s probably walking into another trip. He quickly takes stock of all potential exits and escape routes, making note of the fact that they’re in a storage area—everything has the potential to be a weapon if Reaper really wants to get creative.

He’s used to some degree of infuriating casualness on Reaper’s part by now, but it does little to dispel the tension. 76 is still convinced they’re always about two seconds away from killing each other.

“Don’t flatter yourself.”

Even if he knows that Reaper is absolutely flattering himself. 76 knows he should stop giving him the time of day, but he can’t very well do that when he’s not certain the guy won’t go ballistic and attempt to murder everyone at any given moment. He takes a few steps towards the enclosed area, but he doesn’t step in.

“You must think I’m pretty stupid.”
