Their mission had brought them to Sorceror's World, which led to their first lead -- a strange artifact that, if completed, would allow them to find how the Spectre had been imprisoned the first time. After the golden device had been activated and revealed this, they all suddenly found themselves teleported in teams of two to new locations.

Strange, weird, and magical new locations.

"Don't think about it too hard. Magic is...well, it's magic."

Magic is confusing and goofy and definitely not his area of expertise, and Hal's pretty sure that trying to figure out how anything works is only going to make it all more confusing. (And no matter how magical his own abilities might look, the ring has always been science, thank you very much - at a sufficient level to be nearly indistinguishable, but still something that makes a lot more sense.)

"I've never had much good luck with people using magic before." It never, EVER ended up well for the New Warriors. Or the Avengers, come to think of it.

Vance takes a moment to test whether he can fly using his TK. "So. Against the grain it is?"
ringslinging: of signing things as "BATMAN", the first place to turn it down was the liquor store down the block. (i can't believe that after 9 years)

"I leave it to the professionals whenever possible."

Though obviously, it's not always possible.

"Right. Let's tell them where they can stick those arrows."
