It was late. Very late. Most of the others had already gone to sleep, but Seras was still awake. She doubted that her sleep patterns would change, it had been thirty years since she had gotten sleep like a normal person. So what did she do? She sat by the fire, making sure that it kept going and just enjoyed the quiet darkness.

She had plenty of time to think about various things. How she ended up here, what might be happening back home, how she might be able to get back home. All kinds of things ran through her head. She didn't really focus on one thing or another as she watched the fire, she just let the thoughts run around her head.

She did look up when she heard someone else walk up and gave a friendly smile. "Hello."
