"I'm a very experienced thief, so my word is good," Parker said in a matter-of-fact tone, her lock picks vanishing as though they'd never been at all. It never even occurred to her that someone else might be cagey about where they picked up the knowledge and skills. She was a thief, she'd been a thief since before she'd hit double-digits, she was going to be a thief until the day she died, and she was very, very good at it.
