IN BRIGHTEST DAY - Mod Plot [LOG POST | 3 | NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT]
Who| Everyone involved in the plot
What| For some, time to catch their breath, for others a living nightmare
Where| The Red Lantern base, the Yellow Lantern Base, and the Green/Blue/Violet/Indigo Base
When| After the first battle
Warnings/Notes| At the yellow base, torture/brainwashing, trauma, all that kinda stuff
The first battle left many dead, especially since the Green Lanterns now had deadly force authorized. Fortunately for the good guys, they hadn't lost that many blue, green, indigo, or blue Lanterns, and quite a few reds and yellows had been killed or captured. The retreat of the yellows and reds was a tactical necessity, necessary so that they didn't lose and all get captured.
But their retreat came with a cost. A few of the Legionnaires had claimed -- or been claimed by -- yellow and red rings. With the automatic recall functions of the rings it meant they'd been spirited away during the retreat, with no way of being traced.
All the Legion, Green Lanterns, and their allies could do was regroup and hope for some kind of new attack or lead to try to find their missing friends.

Dipper wasn't in good shape to fight, and that was going to make matters more difficult. But waiting around until he was back to a hundred percent was a luxury they didn't have, not when they didn't know exactly how soon the yellows were going to move on to the next phase.
no subject
He flopped his arms around in demonstration of the noodledom that was to come.
Right now he still had some fight left in him. Just a little.
Just enough.

Hal's expression hardened. He could use his powers without the ring, yes, but there was no denying the ring made it a lot easier. Then again, when had Hal Jordan ever settled for doing what was easy?
A glowing green jet formed in the air and slammed into the bubble at high speed.
no subject
"Please tell me you have something that at least vaguely resembles a plan," he said, slamming one of their guards in the head with a column of teke.
no subject
(Hal. That's not really a plan.)
no subject
Seriously, Hal.
no subject
His tone was perfectly light and conversational, even as a couple other yellows went down around him.
no subject
"Was that, by any chance, a fight against an entire mob, because --"
Dipper was suddenly slammed backwards by a blast of yellow ring energy, just barely shielding himself with his teke.
"We're not going to just power our way through this."
no subject
"You're awfully young to be this cynical, you know that?" It was more an attempt at humor under pressure than anything; Hal was perfectly aware of how outmatched they were. But like hell was he going to show it, and even if it didn't get them out, there was one more thing he wanted to get done.
(Time to hope that Sinestro hadn't blocked the yellow rings from being able to contact greens, because that was exactly the sort of thing Hal wouldn't put past him.)
no subject
Sinestro had blocked the yellow rings from the greens, but there were some communications arrays around the base camp that didn't rely on the rings -- they weren't that far from one.
no subject
(Oh, Hal, if only you realized.)
He took a quick glance around to get himself oriented - he'd noticed the arrays when they arrived, but hadn't been able to keep track while they were restrained. "This way, come on!"
no subject
But every Yellow Lantern they knocked down was replaced by two more swarming in and trying to dogpile them. They weren't going to last much longer.
"Picking a certain direction sounds plan-like. Plannish. Does that mean you have a plan now?"
no subject
Four jets flying in perfect formation blasted behind him to slam into four Yellow Lanterns who'd gotten a little too close for comfort.
wanna have them reach the arrays in Hal's tag?
"Okay, that counts. But I'm not buying the implied 'that was the idea all along.'"
Still, they had a chance now. If they could get a message out to the others so they knew where they were, maybe they could stargate in fast enough for a rescue.
Dipper created a spherical shield around them and then broke it up into lots of little bits and pieces, pelting them outward like hail to try to give them even more breathing room.
Almost there...

With Dipper holding up the defenses, Hal pressed the assault in front of them even harder, cutting their way to the communication arrays. There wasn't going to be enough time to try and pick out the right frequency to send it to the Legion's ears only - instead, he simply slammed a construct fist onto the control panel to activate on the full range. Whatever their allies were tuning in to, they'd receive this.
"Jordan to - Legion, Green Lantern Corps, all the rest of you - Dipper and I are at the Sinestro Corps base, lock onto this transmission's origin point - we could really use some backup here."
