--

On the border between the City Zone and the Industrial Zone is a tiny, desolate settlement, a circle of crude metal shacks cobbled together from materials scavenged from both zones. For days, it was a safe place within Murderworld where wrongfully imprisoned Harrubians tried desperately to find strength in numbers, create weapons, and defend themselves against the perils of both zones. It was hardly living; subsisting, at best, and slowly starving at worst. That was before the Tribute called Foxface found them.

This is after.

Now, half of the shacks have been leveled and in their place stands a large hexagonal cage fashioned out of rusted chain link fencing and yards of barbed wire. The Harrubians who weren't killed when Foxface first discovered their village built the terrifying cage under his direction. Entertainment was the goal of this bizarre Murderworld, Foxface told them, and he found caged fights between sentients incredibly amusing. On the day the cage was finished, Foxface planned to pit the Harrubians in one on one matches against each other, or perhaps against the feral beasts or garbage monsters if they didn't put on a good show. It wasn't supposed to be caged slaughter, Foxface insisted; anyone who won their battle in the cage won another day to live.

For two days, the Harrubians never won. On the third day, a teleportation storm deposited a new prisoner in the settlement, one whose first inclination was to rush in and attack Foxface. The Robotican downed Videl easily with a powerful electric shock, an attack that was extra effective against her electrically-conductive metal skin. He could kill her right now, Foxface said, or she could fight for her life (and the lives of the remaining Harrubians) in the cage. At a begrudging disadvantage, Videl was forced to agree.

This is now, the start of Videl's third fight in the cage. She is locked inside, forced to wait while Foxface selects a new opponent for her. Since Videl has survived two fights so far, Foxface has decided to search other zones for stronger prey to set upon her. Will he return with a desperate prisoner, a horrific beast from a different zone, or perhaps even another imprisoned Legionnaire? Videl can only wait, angry and exhausted, for another struggle for survival.

It was through the teleportation storms that Gwen too ended up in the same area. She took stock of her environment and surroundings. It all look very much improvised and rushed together. A perfect fit for Murderworld's overall theme and look, really. And to make matters even weirder, she'd spent some time in this patchwork settlement without being attacked! A welcome change of pace from all the attempts on her life so far.

Murderworld definitely kept living up to its name.

Stupid Arcade.

It wasn't until she started picking up sounds of commotion that Gwen actually started to walk towards the crowd. Probably a bad idea to be around that many people but... No she didn't have anything else, it was just a bad idea altogether, but she kept on going towards the crowd. Gwen tried not to attract too much attention to herself as she moved through the gathered people.

Moving further in, she finally saw.

"Oh. Oh my god."

That sure was a giant cage. And more importantly, that sure was...

"Wait, Videl?!"

Gwen pushed and shoved way all over to the front of the cage and... dear god. What had they been forcing Videl to do here? This all looked looked some sort of sick competition? She'd watched movies to recognize something like this. An arena, a cage, and a crowd thirsty for some blood, action, and food.

Yeah, they were all having the time of their life.

She hated Murderworld so much, right now.

"You better believe it. Hang on, let me just..."

But some of the Harrubians weren't exactly happy to see her there. The show had been interrupted, and who knows what Foxface would do to them if he found out. They began to approach Gwen, their intentions made clear by the makeshift weapons they brandished. Needing to get away from them, Gwen jumped up high and used her strength to tear apart the chain link to force her way inside the cage and land right next to Videl.

"Easy there." She said, making sure to support the other's weight. "You alright?"
