THE LEMURIAN ADVENTURE
Who| Open to all!
What| The underwater city of Lemuria is flooding!
Where| Lemuria!
When| The same time as Heist of the Century and just after the beginning of Bodies For Rent
Warnings/Notes| This is a natural disaster, so things might get hinky and intense.
When the Legionnaires drop in, the first thing that hits is the sound. Like the cables of a suspension bridge snapping, but drawn out endlessly rather than ending swiftly. It’s enough to set anyone’s nerves on edge.
Their briefing explained it. The reactors that powered the main shield suffered a disastrous cascade failure, and the engineers who went to fix it have failed to check in. Then, despite this being a tectonically stable region, an earthquake wreaked havoc in the dome. It’s a scientific impossibility, without metahuman or scientific interference. They need to get everyone to the T-Gate stations and connected to the refugee centers, but the population is panicking and there are some riots as the disasters and the public announcement of sabotage raised questions of who’s trustworthy and who’s part of it.
There’s been a request for anyone with technical training or even rescue training to go to the tunnels and rescue the engineers, as well.
Whatever the case, it’s obvious that the city doesn’t have much time. The main field has already collapsed and the secondary shields are screaming in protest under the billions of tons of pressure. With the faint sound of an explosion, they blink out and there’s a hammering noise as the ocean slams into the transpariplates that make up the main city dome. Silence reigns for a second, the faint sound of cracking material obviously a figment of their imaginations… right?
DISASTER THREATS
A. EARTHQUAKES
Somewhere in the city, there’s a seismic generator. It’s not exactly subtle, the surrounding area will slowly turn into a volcano, drawing up earth and venting magma around as it works its magic to wreck the city. The vibrations it causes are strong enough that being close enough will rattle the Legionnaire’s teeth. The Legionnaires have to find it and stop it, or destroy it, before it can do any further, but it’s not unprotected.
And that’s not saying that there’s only one. They might run into a gang of saboteurs setting up another one, just in case the first is settled in. If two get activated in this close a proximity, any other efforts they put forth might as well be for nothing.
B. COLLAPSING BUILDINGS
None of the structures in Lemuria have been built to withstand earthquakes, nor have the people been taught how to handle them. The first quake damaged many buildings, and now they’re threatening to collapse with any further interference. Some already have. It’s up to the Legionnaires to search the rubble for survivors or pull people out of the buildings before something worse happens.
C. FLOODING
The transpariplates of the domes and their connecting tunnels are cracking. Water is pouring in through the cracks, and some of the smaller domes have already seen their smaller buildings submerged. People will be trapped, either in structures or on top of them, and the rapidly rising water level is making an evacuation extremely dangerous. Fortunately, this is one disaster they had something set in store for, with rafts and artificial gills being in ready supply, but the stores have been raided and what should be plenty for all has turned into barely enough for some.
The Legionnaires can focus on sealing the cracks with their powers or a provided sealant, or pulling people out of submerged buildings and vehicles or from the tops of their buildings and to a T-Gate nexus.
D. LOOTING AND PANIC
Never let a matter of life and death get in the way of a good riot. Some citizens have taken it upon themselves to spend their last minutes on a witch hunt, tracking down anyone they suspect of being a saboteur and holding impromptu kangaroo courts. Others have taken the chance to throw chairs through windows and claim whatever they find inside. Yet others have taken to stampeding in the streets, clogging the proper evacuation routes in their rush to get out. And, finally, some ill-meaning citizens have taken the anarchy as an excuse to do whatever they want.
While the first directive of the Legion in this situation is the preservation of life rather than protecting material goods, there’s no reason to let criminals run amuck. Whether it’s calming crowds or slugging looters, there’s something the heroes can do to help the situation.
E. FIRES
A fire in an underwater city. How ironic. But, whether it’s due to rioters or the seismic generators, portions of the city are ablaze. The Legion might choose to ignore putting the blaze out, considering the incoming water will likely extinguish them, but there are still people inside the buildings that need to be rescued.
F. REACTOR REPAIRS
The geothermal reactors that need to be fixed are in underground tunnels, something that at least makes them nice and dry. The heat, however, is another thing entirely, and the trans suits aren’t famous for their air conditioning capabilities. Only one reactor needs to be repaired to power the main field just enough to keep the domes from breaking any further, but they’re complex enough that anyone who isn’t an engineering specialist might end up needing to get instructions from specialists in the Legion World monitor room to fix the damage.
The saboteurs haven’t left, however. They’re too professional for that. Any attempt to repair the reactors will end up attracting the attention of these hired guns and they’ll swiftly move in to assault anyone attempting to undo their hard work.
G. WILD CARD!
You can make up any situation you want if it doesn’t fit the above scenarios, as long as it fits the theme of the event. Wild animals, rogue robots, whatever you like. If you're unsure on something, feel free to ask the mods! Otherwise, you can do just about anything under this.

Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury - Flooding
"Keep moving in an orderly manner," she instructed the citizens. She looked around for another Legion member. "I need more sealant over here."
She wasn't about to mention that she was having a hard time keeping the water out with citizens still around.

Sawtooth
It makes the most logical sense to Sawtooth: find the source of the problem and nullify it; otherwise, repairs are an uphill battle at best. Evidently he's not the only Legionnaire to think that way, as at least one of his companions is wearing a gold ring and determination.
The generator isn't exactly difficult to find, given the slow transformation of the surrounding land into an active volcano; the difficult part will be getting around or through the saboteurs guarding the machine. The Legionnaires' only advantage right now is that they'd flown in, and the saboteurs aren't exactly looking up.
Sawtooth comes in close, voice quiet. "Do you want to be the distraction or destroy the machine?" The best plans have two parts, right?
Flooding
Sawtooth has one distinct advantage over most people here, and it's not his Sharkticon-inspired chassis: unlike nearly everyone else, he doesn't need to breathe. Any underwater mobility issues have been solved by his flight ring, which can propel him through water as easily as it can air, and he's been spending time searching submerged buildings and roadways and ferrying whoever he finds to the nearest raft or high rooftop for other Legionnaires to transport to the local T-Gate.
He hits a snag when he finds a young woman trapped by falling debris. Fortunately, she's managed to find artificial gills; unfortunately, the way the debris has fallen, there's no way Sawtooth can move her without risking injuring or killing her. He places a hand on her arm, gently - "Don't worry. I'll be back soon." - and rockets to the surface of the water as fast as his flight ring can propel him, because the bends are not an issue when you don't have a circulatory system to worry about. He's speaking as soon as he breaks the water's surface. "I need assistance! There's someone trapped below and I can't get the leverage to free them by myself!"
Reactor Repairs
Sawtooth is anything but an engineering specialist; what he is is unbothered by the heat, as it's nowhere near the temperature required to cause him damage (and he's fairly certain most organic beings would expire in that temperature range anyway). He's here as support, to help his fellow Legionnaire in any way he can, or to take a crack at it himself in a pinch - with instructions from the experts on Legion World.
He's also on guard - sabotage of this nature is Decepticon tactics, and in his experience, they never leave their handiwork unguarded. It would be foolish to assume the saboteurs here would act differently.

Blue Falcon
Somewhere you might hear a defiant, proud war cry; an invocation of the stronger half of Fareeha's power-set. You might see the flash of blue flames that engulf her body as she's given reflexes and swiftness to grab a falling wall before it pins citizens beneath it, or maybe you're close enough to see the way her Eye of Horus tattoo is now glowing gold as she hauls out rubble to get to survivors; large pieces of stone and mortar tossed aside like a child's building blocks.
Looters and Panic
Her strength only lasts for one hour at a time, with two hours to cool down in between, and that time she uses to find people trying to stay behind, or take advantage of the situation, and very persuasively convince them to leave and live (here persuasive means usually grabbing them by the collar or sleeve or whatever she could reach and throwing them back towards the evacuation routes).
She is using her regular human strength at this point, though, so if anyone chooses to retaliate (or any group of someones) she might need assistance.
Wild Card
A good thing to keep in mind when your power set runs on a timed cycle is keep track of time. Not that Fareeha didn't, but here she's cut it a little too close; helping citizens escape a crumbling building, some debris blocked their path. Before it could be cleared, a larger piece of ceiling broke off and threatened to crush the group. Fareeha steps in to catch it on her shoulders, giving rescuers a chance to clear the debris and pull the survivors out.
But, she's on an unspoken countdown; there are scant minutes left that she can feel her strength waning, counting on someone else to help those trapped.

Junkrat
It's unusual for Junkrat to separate himself from either Blue Falcon or Roadhog, on missions or otherwise - but among them, their skills are best utilized in different places. While the other two are shouldering the weight-lifting, Junkrat has entered the underground tunnels to work his best on the geothermal reactors.
He'd rather be on the surface revelling in the chaos, but...you know. Job. New leaf. All that goodie-two-shoes stuff.
While his experience doesn't include previous knowledge of geothermal reactors, but he's a quick read, and by quick read he's learning quickly by finding what's gone wrong and using whatever's at his disposal to fix it. Is it pretty? No. Is it at all conventional? No. Does it break whatever hazard and health codes that this planet might have? Probably. But does it work? Absolutely.
He barely notices the heat, because he's used to working in conditions like this. What he does notice, after running through a half-dozen repairs, is a pattern. System faults don't happen with such precision, such regularity.
It's not how he would do it. Someone's trying to be subtle.
Junkrat may be hyper-focused on his task, but there's something about this situation that has his survival instincts kicked into high gear. As soon as someone drops a footfall (or analgue of such) near him, he immediately turns around to look at them with the wild expression of an animal ready to kill to protect himself, curved combat blade held underhand and ready to strike.
Better identify yourself quickly before he strikes!
