Where| The Past
When| After the timeline falls apart
Warnings/Notes|

The shifting timeline finally settles into something...horrible. Legion World is no more. As they make it to the lab, the team finds themselves on Brainiac 3's asteroid base instead, and through the windows, something monstrous can be seen.

It was once Earth. The time travelers that altered the past sold out the planet to extradimensional entities long ago -- and all of history has suffered for it. Hence: Brainiac 3's base existing in place of Legion World. Except it doesn't belong to Brainiac 3 anymore. It was Brainiac 5's inheritance.

Who| Everyone interested
What| A camping trip!
Where| An asteroid resort!
When|
Warnings/Notes| High impact relaxation activities

Once again, Jason's left out some possible pertinent points about the 'campsite'. When the Legionnaires step through the Threshold Gate, it's almost like stepping through to an open sky. The entire place may be inside an asteroid, but the crystals and fungus present glow with soft blues and greens, with the occasional streak of yellow where the worms gather on the walls. Almost immediately, there's a soothing feel in the air, the crystals vibrating with subtle, soothing harmonics. The artificial atmosphere is a little on the cool side, but a warm breeze is constantly circulating.

There are two distinct styles of architecture present. One is squat, built when space was a premium, all flat plain on the outside, paint jobs aside. The original mining colony didn't spend much time on frills for their administration, mining, and processing buildings. Very utilitarian. The newer buildings, however, appear to be rock and crystal shaped in a Stellaris Nouveau style, a slightly alien twist on the ancient Art Nouveau movement. The benches on the side of the slidewalks match the style, allowing one to sit and rest anywhere. Water fountains are spread liberally throughout the complex, the spray shifting into artistic, and impossible shapes.

The entire complex covers just over a hundred acres. There's a series of cliffs at the edge of the complex with large pools water at the base of each. It's hard to see the other side of the cavern after the cliffs drop off, as it was hollowed out to make room for cargo ships back in the day.

What's there )

If they try to explore the caverns, they'll find a complex maze of mine shafts and other holes that appear to have been created by living things. Exploring these could lead to someone being lost for hours, if not days, if they're not careful, and the deeper they go the more grinding noises they hear. Deep enough and they might find a new, gigantic tunnel network that seems more like a worm's nest, with an echo of fluttering, leathery wings carrying through them.

[[If there's something you want to do that isn't covered by the headers, just assume Jason had whatever's needed for it brought in and feel free to start your own thread!]]

What| The rescue of the NPC Legionnaires
Where| A movie studio in New New York
When| Takes place the same time as "Books of Magic"
Warnings/Notes| N/a

The studio where the Legionnaires are being held is swarming with supervillains. It's a trap, of course. But that doesn't mean they have to walk right into it. They have a plan, and now it's time to put it into action.

The Legion of Supervillains are expecting the non-native Legionnaires to be pushovers. They're about to discover just how crushingly, devastatingly wrong they are.

Jason didn't exactly sell the new world well. Stepping through the Threshold Gate, the Legionnaires find themselves on a landing platform overseeing their new vacation hotspot. The first thing they'll notice is that everything feels slightly heavier. Nothing dramatic, but if they were carrying a hundred pounds of stuff, now they've got twenty more pounds weighing them down. The planet, Futuro's Folly, is as advertised, hollowed out with the entire ecosystem on the inside. Outside, if they'd bothered to look, there was only a barren, crater-pocked surface of a dwarf planet about half the size of Pluto. Inside, however...

Inside was a different story. )

[[Okay, so there's some generic activity headers up right now. Feel free to pick one up and run with activities running in any of those areas. For those of you who wanted action, I'll have a separate top-level for that. However, I won't be running any of that chaos, so feel free to take it in the direction you'd like.

If you want to do anything, anything at all, and it doesn't fit into one of my toplevels, feel free to make a new thread entirely! Go wild with it, y'know?

Who| Jason and the Beachwarmers
What| Going camping! Making friends! A mixed thing, just do whatever and have fun.
Where| On a private island owned by R.J. Brande.
When| Post Naltor and Mystery Plots, pre-next plot
Warnings/Notes| None yet

All in all, the beach itself is gorgeous. Clear waters, a perfect temperature, white sand, some nice, shady woods deeper in on the island... It all looks fantastic, like it came off of a postcard. There's not a hint of land off in the distance, but they can get a threshold gate if the need arises.

Jason honestly didn't plan much out. He's packed for different activities, like food (sadly lacking in hot dogs), sun lotion, drinks (though if you wanted something alcoholic, you'll be disappointed), a beach ball, a volleyball with a net setup, some tents, and some snorkeling gear, all pre-staged on the island. He tried to cover a bunch of activities, but he really didn't have much of an idea of how many people would be showing up or what they'd want to do, so he just prepped for the most possible.

If they day is crisp and beautiful, the night is something else entirely. Still perfectly warm, by the time the Legionnaires have worn themselves out, the stars are out in force. With no light pollution around, the night sky is full of colors and stars, with the visible portion of the Milky Way cutting a majestic arc across the sky. Night swimming is still available, the water's fine and the camp fire is visible for a long way.

[[Whoops, I'd meant to post this on Saturday, but time got away from me. I thought about setting up activities and such, but decided that it'd be best just to let people come up with whatever. If it involves gear of some kind, feel free to handwave that Jason took care of it. There's a few different activity headers put up, so feel free to tag around or post a separate starter if you have any further ideas or want to do something else!

If you didn't tag here, don't worry about it. We can handwave any of that in favor of the main action here.

and now posted in the correct community. Whoops again.

Who| Open to All!
What| The gravity generators on the planet Naltor fail
Where| Naltor
When| N/A
Warnings/Notes| Since a natural disaster is a bit of a heavy thing, players may opt out by handwaving their character was on a different mission doing something less disturbing. There are always many crises going on in the UP.

Despite being precogs, the Naltorians don't see it coming and this is why the entire UP is sent reeling because of the disaster. Oh, there are times some of them have visions of a disaster that aren't complete enough for them to do anything about it, and times that they have visions but it's too close to a disaster to put out a warning call.

But this time? Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Not a single Naltorian sees it coming.
